This post popped up yesterday, so thought it would be a good changes to repost what it’s like driving Laguna in an Exocet. Skip to 9:30 for a clean lap.

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

I had a passenger hop in on my final session of the 2nd day at Miata Reunion last year. He really wanted a ride in an Exocet. When we were done, he amazed by a couple of things: 1) how well it retained it’s Miata good manners and 2) the sheer amount of sensory input you get. You hear the struts working, you feel the springs, and the tire flex comes through your toes. Every RPM is heard and there’s nothing cutting you off from the experience.

Lapping Laguna Seca, looks like a treat!

Exocets are fun? T he Royal Navy disagrees.

I’d think with the LS motor that thing would be downright scary, esp having so little weight on the rear axle. A friend of mine has an Atom with the turbo Ecotec, and he said it’s the only car that’s ever scared him. (he’s owned many fast cars too)

Yeah, bucket list item. A track is not just a track. Laguna is pretty special. Someday it will be condos and I’ll be nothing but sad.

I need to get out to drive Spa. I’ve checked off the ring and Laguna. Spa is pretty in between those two on my drive list.
